To the beach we go!

I've actually been to the beach twice before, but I was in Momma's tummy both times. Yesterday we drove from Jackson down to Gulf Shores, AL. I was a very good boy, I slept for 2 1/2 hours and then did fairly well. Here I am on the ferry....I see the other side!

Because we took Dadd's truck, we got a luggage carrier to put in the back to protect the stuff we had in the bed. Here's Daddy trying it out for size. While Momma's writing this I'm sleeping cozy on my little pallet in the closet of Momma and Daddy's room. I'll show you a picture shortly.

Here's some interesting things about me for posterity sake:

1. I can roll from my back to my stomach now

2. I have discovered that I can make noise! The last 3 days I've been talking up a storm.

3. I sleep from 9:00pm to 7:00am 19 out of 20 nights (a boy has to have a little leeway)
4. I love to have my feet played with and tickled.

5. I love it when all I have on is a diaper! I kick and flail my arms and have a good time!
6. I've acquired the ability to move 'down'. As in the picture above, I started out under the gym and slowly moved down until this is where I was 5 minutes later.

7. I love to stand up on someone's lap and look around.

8. I wear #3 diapers now - I'm growing up!

9. At my 4-month checkup I weighed 16 pounds and was 26 inches long (90th percentile for height, 50th for weight).

10. I LOVE my daddy. When he comes home from work I get SOOO excited, and I love to look at him from across the room and watch him and when he looks at me I smile SO big! He makes me laugh so much :)

Natural Science Museum

Last week when Nana came to watch I got to go on a field trip to the Natural Science Museum with Nana, Millie, and Aunt Rachel.

Nana had to make sure we knew that we needed to behave b/c we were being WATCHED.

Look at this fine specimen of a....well, I'm not really sure what it is, but it's pretty cool. Nana's starting my education early :)

I love riding on Daddy's shoulders

As many of you know, we've been having a ton of landscaping work done by our friends at Pinehaven Nursery, so here I am, off to survey the finished product.

It's looking mighty nice. Momma forgot to take 'before' pictures, but let me assure you, the way to describe it would be 'a barren wasteland of weeds, sand, and broken brick' before they came in.

Loropetalums, camelias, abelias, and sod - lovely, lovely sod - we actually have GRASS in our backyard now, something we've never had even before the storm.
