Rub-a-dub-dub - Baby Cole's in the tub!

Aren'y my eyes mesmerizing?
Bath time is sooo much fun!

I'm not sure what this sour face was for, but Momma thought it was cute so here I am, world!

As with many things, I was much more interested in sucking on the towel than I was in the toys in the tub. I actually only touched one toy but played for a looong time with this towel. Adults spend way too much money on toys - we kids just like "natural" entertainment :)

Weekend with Daddy

Look at me, balancing this cup on my head!

Momma and Daddy are trying to teach me how to crawl and I'm kinda getting the hang of pulling my legs up under me, but I can't seem to get my head up at the same time. Still working on it.

I gotta start beefing up...

Friday night we drove out to Brian and Michelle Smith's house. Jude was born in January, so I'm 2 1/2 months older than he is, but he's almost as big as me!

Two softball games in one week!

Daddy played softball on Tuesday AND Thursday night last week. Here we are with Leslie Palmer, Allison Shaw, Lizby Geoffriau, Heather Viramontes, Page Callen, and my buddy Freeman.
Daddy swings!

Note Freeman and I are decked out in our baseball outfits. Momma saw this one for $1 and couldn't pass it up.

Cock-a-doodle-doo!!!

Every morning last week I decided to throw a little curve ball. Parents get in kind've a rut, you know, so I thought I'd shake things up a bit and get up at 5:30ish every morning. Momma would drag herself down to my room and would encounter this sweet little face, rested and ready to play :).

My boys (and me)

Those sweet little eyes just melt my heart.

Cole LOVES to be upside down. A lot of times when he's laying on my lap he pushes with his feet until his head is off my legs and he can look upside down around the room.

And the most important man in my life :), the love of my life Thomas.

My sweet, sweet baby boy

What a blessing this little boy has been to us. We can't thank the Lord enough for his life and the joy he gave us in blessing us with our son.

Our Happy Family

Many thanks to Erin Fults www.erinfults.com for the great pictures she took for us.

Take me out to the ballgame! (Then take me home to bed....please!)

Softball season is in full swing (Momma says this is called a pun...I think it's a pretty good one) so last night we went out to the game. It was an 8:00 game but I still was a very good boy even though that's dangerously close to my bedtime.

Here's Daddy getting ready to make a big play.

Miss Page and Freeman were out there too. Freeman still likes to just sit and watch and chew on his blanket....unlike me who likes to stand, sit, move, stroll, watch, touch the fence (I'm REALLY into touching the fence), etc.

Mr. Steve and Miss Sherry Lanier even came out to watch the game. That's me with Miss Sherry in the first picture...I liked her a lot.

And here I am, the star of the show. Note my softball shirt that Momma found on clearance. I love to suck on my bottom lip as well as drool, both of which I'm doing here :)

Playtime with Daddy

We sure do have fun together

And we rest together - only for a very short time becuase a 6 1/2-month-old boy doesn't like to stay still for too long. There's too much to see!

I'm done playing! (Maybe time for a nap...)

An Apple a Day...

I only know of 3 tastes in the world at this point - rice cereal, bananas, and my staple - milk.

I sure wish there was something to eat around here - I'll just chew on my bib and dream...

What's this? A 4th taste?!?!? Kind've.....hmmm....thinking....swallowing...

I LOVE IT!!! Feed me I'm starving!!!!

A day of domesticity

momma was working in the kitchen so I kept an eye on her from my cruiser that Miss Lydia is letting me borrow. (Momma says don't have a heart attack that she's letting me use a walker - she keeps a VERY close eye on me even though I haven't even realized I can move it yet :))

While I watched her, Momma baked some sweet potatoes and some apples for me to try. I've had rice cereal and bananas so far, and today it was time to try baked/pureed apples. Momma's gonna try making my baby food for the most part and this was her first attempt at it. You'll also notice some cookies to the left but I don't get those so they're not really worth mentioning.

Choo Choo!!!!

Momma and Daddy are so good at coming up with fun games. Here I am a train and they choo-choo-ed me all over the living room :)

The next day Momma and I went to Target and got some baby wipes, and that box is even BETTER as a train!

The train made a stop at the front door to survey the beautiful countryside before heading off into the wild territory by the coffee table.

We're back!

I was surfing the 'net yesterday and saw an email from Daddy to Momma saying something along the lines of "Cole will be in college and we won't know what happened in between if you don't update the blog and document it!" So we're back! I cracked teh whip on Momma and here's some posts from the last month. Enjoy!

A departure from our family - to bring Grisha home to his family in Brandon, MS

JC and Ashley Fumia from Brandon, MS, have been in the process of adopting Grisha from orphanage #4 in Ukraine for 3 years now and AT LAST they have their appointment to go to Ukraine to finalize the adoption. They leave in 2 weeks and are trusting that God will provide the rest of the funds they need to buy airline tickets, lodging and transportation in Ukraine. I've been following their adoption journey at www.fumia.blogspot.com for the last 2 years and am thrilled that Grisha will finally be able to come home to his 2 brothers (with another one on the way!) and Mom and Dad. If you'd like to follow theri journey to Ukraine or feel called to help them reach their financial need, feel free to pop on over to their blog.

A Day on the Farm

Momma's friend Lina came in town this week and we got together with some of Momma's friends from high school out on the farm where Momma's friend Elaine lives. Erin and Emma, Momma and I, Elaine and Ella Rose (Josiah was sleeping), and Lina with her niece Haddie had a fun morning playing out in the country.

They have GOATS! I've never seen a goat before. Emma showed us all there was nothing to be afraid of.
I wasn't quite sure what to do with the baby goat, but I did touch it with my foot.

Haddie, Lina, and Elaine

I was pretty sleepy by the end of the morning but we sure did have a fun time. Momma said this post for Marian who helped them build the friendships that have lasted for years after high school. We love Marian!!

Baby Bumbo

I've gotten good at sitting up and I sometimes I get to play in my Bumbo seat.

Momma and Daddy call me Baby Bumbo when I'm sitting in my chair playing.

It helps with my stretching abilities too b/c it's a little tricky to reach toys from it, but I give it my best shot. Notice my blue polka dot blanket that Nana made for me. I sit on this in my Bumbo seat and I'm always trying to grab the dots off the blanket b/c they look so FUN but they never come off!
