All in a day's work

Well, I'm getting older (almost 8 months you know) so I decided today I better show that Momma how a man feeds himself...no more of this "feed the baby" business. Momma doesn't like food messes very much, but she let me hold my own spoon and get as much in my mouth as I could and she didn't even wipe me ONE TIME until the very end. (Note from Momma: The process from start to finish, which included new clothes and washed hair, took 45 minutes)

It got ugly...

But it sure was fun...

Soakin' up some rays.

For those of you who don't live in Mississippi, it's been almost 100 degrees every day this week, but when your dad works in air conditioning that's a good thing for business. I've been begging mommy for some ice cream, but all I get is prunes, carrots, peas, and my newest delicacy cantaloupe. I guess I gotta settle for whatever I can get. But just WAIT until I'm mobile...

Watch your toes! Here I come!

there, i did my duty and smiled for the pictures, now on to more important things...

Mommy never lets me get this close to her flowers...

Happy Father's Day!

My daddy's the best dad in the world.

And I can't forget my mommy either :)

Cruisin' and causin' trouble

Not only have I recently become good at sitting up, I've also figured out my walker and scamper all over the floor in it.

One of my favorite activities with this new-found freedom is pulling as many of Momma's cookbooks off the shelf as I can.

Uh-oh, I think she sees me...

I've been caught!!!!!

Busy little bee

I have recently become very good at sitting up alone, and I often find myself left on the blanket with a bucket of toys next to me. Mealtime or not, I always love to chew on something, so....

I check out my options one by one. This is a yummy little bath toy cup...

a delicious lobster that Aunt Lauren and Mimi got me...

and a scruptious flower. But nothing keeps my mind and my chomper busy for very long, so...

back I go for another tasty treat. One of these days I'm hoping for something like the ice cream I saw Momma and Daddy eating yesterday...

Out on the lawn and sporting my team digs

Yesterday afternoon momma and I went out on the lawn to enjoy the day. Daddy had a deacon's meeting so we were home a long time by ourselves and needed lots of new activities.

I wiggled my way over to the side of the blanket and loved just laying there and massaging the grass with my hand. I love grass!!

Here's my new move. Momma and Daddy are trying to teach me how to crawl and sometimes I appease them by doing my "burrow" move.

Daddy loves to play with me and a few days ago he let me wear his State headband.

Sporting Daddy's 'band as I cruise the kitchen in my roadster.
