What a Jolly Fellow!

Mimi knitted Cole and Tyson matching green sweaters for Christmas. Unfortunately Cole had ZERO interest in sitting for a picture.

Although they looked very similar starting out, Tyson has grown more and more into his own little person and doesn't resemble Cole much at all anymore. He's very jolly and good-natured.

Unlike Cole, who was a great night-sleeper and consistent napper, Tyson reverted back after Christmas to waking up every 3 hours to eat, all night long. He also usually only naps about 1 1/2 hours TOTAL from 6:30am-7:00pm. Not sure how he's able to power through the day on so little sleep! He does love to eat though. I started giving him some cereal a few days ago in a last attempt to get him to sleep longer stretches at night. It hasn't worked yet, but I'm still hoping!

Niether of the boys have been paci or thumb-suckers. Tyson just gnaws on his hands a lot and tries to fit his whole fist in his mouth.

Like Father Like Son

Chattanooga here we come!

Daddy had a few days off at New Year's so we decided to take a little vacation to Chattanooga.

We went to the zoo (below) for free because of our membership with the Jackson Zoo. I (Cole) suddenly had a bad case of "The-Animals-Are-Going-To-Eat-Me!!!" and whined/cried my way through most of the zoo, terrified of everything that moved. The bright spot was steering this train below.

The zoo wasn't a total loss, though. I have 2 National Geographic Mammal books that are my new obsession, and though I didn't like the animals while I was AT the zoo, I sure have showed Momma and Daddy lots of pictures in my Mammal books of the animals I saw at the zoo. I can enjoy the memory of them much more than the actual event.

Now HERE'S an animal I can get close to - one that's not living. We got to walk over the river and run around in the park and ride the big stone animals. We also went to the Aquarium but pictures don't turn out well of dark indoor fish tanks so you'll just have to imagine me there.

As mentioned above, these NG Mammal books have opened my eyes to all SORTS of animals I didn't know existed, one of which is the Mongoose. One of the pictures is of 2 mongooses showing their teeth to each other, and when I get to that page I like to show my teeth to whoever will look at me. Here are Momma and I showing you our Mongoose faces.

Mommy and Daddy had to sit down for a rest in the park, but I'm too cool to share a bench with them. That's so babyish and I'm a man now. I guess the sippy cup isn't helping my man-image is it...

Goochee-goochee-GOO!!!

Cole still adores Tyson and regularly gets down on the floor and tickles him, talks to him, and most often lays on him. Tyson hasn't ever cried about it, though. He loves it!

Tyson is a happy baby, what a blessing!

Christmas with the Dents

Tyson weighed almost 17 pounds at his 3 1/2 month checkup. Cole is getting nervous about his prospects to hold his own when Tyson gets mobile.

A Day at the Park

First for the boring people...Mama and Tyson...I have to drag them along with me because 2 is just slightly too young to go to the park on my own I hear.

Now on to the excitment. Rolling stones down the slide is always fun...

Feeding the ducks Cheerios is my favorite part, particularly when they're on this side of the lake and I can get up so close to them. Mama doesn't know why, and I don't either, but I'm not scared of the ducks at all. Mama has to make sure they don't peck me but I'm not worried about it.

Then we walk to the far side of the lake and out onto the pier. Here I am watching for the ducks to swim to us from across the lake.

And just like that we're on to the next thing! Come on, Mama! Just because you're carrying The Little Bruiser doesn't mean you can slack up! We have places to go!

Happy 2nd Birthday to Me!

Daddy and Grandpa took me to Chuck E Cheese's for the first time for lunch on my birthday! Daddy only had to buy $5 worth of tokens and I came away with these cool 5 cent shades. Seems like a good deal to me. I know just how these games work. Put the token in....

I also had a party at mimi's house but now that I had a little brother I don't get as many pictures taken...sorry folks, that's all for birthday memories. But this WAS the highlight of the day.

Fall Festival 2010

Our little family. Mimi got Tyson his pumpkin bib and my shirt says "boo" on it. I'm not really into costumes at this point in my life - too scary.

I know how to do it, Dad, I'm just playing it cool for the big kids.

Now this is my kind of game. In keeping with my precise nature, I put one ring on each spike, then moved to the next row of spikes for the rings in my hand. None of this willy-nilly stuff.

And the best part, picking out candy....which reminds me....MOM!!!! Where is all that candy I got at the Fall Festival??!?!?

Good to the last drop

I LOVE eating a bowl of cereal in the mornings and then drinking the leftover milk out of my bowl. I start out eating with my spoon, and when that gets tedious I pull out my cave-man style and free-hand it.
