A departure from our family - to bring Grisha home to his family in Brandon, MS

JC and Ashley Fumia from Brandon, MS, have been in the process of adopting Grisha from orphanage #4 in Ukraine for 3 years now and AT LAST they have their appointment to go to Ukraine to finalize the adoption. They leave in 2 weeks and are trusting that God will provide the rest of the funds they need to buy airline tickets, lodging and transportation in Ukraine. I've been following their adoption journey at www.fumia.blogspot.com for the last 2 years and am thrilled that Grisha will finally be able to come home to his 2 brothers (with another one on the way!) and Mom and Dad. If you'd like to follow theri journey to Ukraine or feel called to help them reach their financial need, feel free to pop on over to their blog.

A Day on the Farm

Momma's friend Lina came in town this week and we got together with some of Momma's friends from high school out on the farm where Momma's friend Elaine lives. Erin and Emma, Momma and I, Elaine and Ella Rose (Josiah was sleeping), and Lina with her niece Haddie had a fun morning playing out in the country.

They have GOATS! I've never seen a goat before. Emma showed us all there was nothing to be afraid of.
I wasn't quite sure what to do with the baby goat, but I did touch it with my foot.

Haddie, Lina, and Elaine

I was pretty sleepy by the end of the morning but we sure did have a fun time. Momma said this post for Marian who helped them build the friendships that have lasted for years after high school. We love Marian!!

Baby Bumbo

I've gotten good at sitting up and I sometimes I get to play in my Bumbo seat.

Momma and Daddy call me Baby Bumbo when I'm sitting in my chair playing.

It helps with my stretching abilities too b/c it's a little tricky to reach toys from it, but I give it my best shot. Notice my blue polka dot blanket that Nana made for me. I sit on this in my Bumbo seat and I'm always trying to grab the dots off the blanket b/c they look so FUN but they never come off!

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH

It takes a very calculate attempt to do what I did to Daddy above. The best part was that this happened right in the middle of Momma and Daddy discussing whether or not Daddy was going to wear that shirt to church or not. I can't talk yet, so when Daddy lifted me up in the air, I did the only thing a 6-month-old can do to show my opinion. Momma was laughing so hard she could hardly take the picture.

Happy Easter! He is risen!!

Playing with my daddy. He's my favorite person in the world to play with.

Look at my cute overalls that Mimi got me for Easter. I think I look very hip in them.

Note in this picture my cute little hat that Momma got me for the summer to keep my soft little face from getting burned. She thinks I look so cute in it. I must admit...

I asked Momma not to include the picture above b/c I think it makes my face look a little chubbier than it really is, but she didn't listen. My great-aunt Betsy got me this balloon for Easter and I LOVED playing with it. Balloons make lots of squeeky noises when you play with them.

And here I am with Mimi and my Easter basket.

Boys can play dress-up too

Mimi got me the cutest little shark pajamas and they're momma and daddy's favorites. One night they decided to play dress-up with me. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be in the picture above, but I smiled and played along anyway.

Above I'm playing "Sir Lancelot". Diapers work great as helmets, and I didn't have a sword but you can see that I'm pretending to be striking a pose with one.

This one is called "The Sheik". Daddy put my pants on my head and I thought it was pretty funny. They kinda pushed my eyes down and I think it makes me look older.

5 Months Old

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!" Ps. 107:1

More Baptism - how can a mother choose which pictures to post?

I still love to cram all my fingers in my mouth at one time.

Mommy and Daddy think I'm the sweetest little boy God ever made :)

My Baptism

Momma decided she wanted some pictures of my in the outfit I was baptized in, so 2 weeks ago she took me out in the backyard for a little photo time.

This one's for my cousin Sophie

Momma loves the one below. I must say I do suppose I'm a handsome boy :)

My eyes are still blue and I'm 5 months old, so Momma's hoping I get to keep them along with my long eyelashes.

My First Time at the Beach!

It took a lot of nagging to get Momma to finally put some new posts up, but finally here they are.

It was very windy and a little chilly on the beach at 8:00 in the morning so I got to wear Momma's Bomgar sweatshirt.

I am one EXCITED boy!

While we were there March Madness was going on so here I am watching Mississippi State playing. Daddy and Momma were both decked out in their State t-shirts, and I did have my State onesie on to start the day, but you know how that goes...

And here I am on my little pallet in the closet where I got to sleep. I actually took longer naps at the beach than I take at home. I loved my little pallet :)
