Cole, where are you?? Cole? WHERE ARE YOU???

This afternoon I was cooking in the kitchen, occassionally checking on Cole and his wanderings around the house. On my last check I called to him and heard a noise from the living room so I went in there. Last time he'd been under the coffee table. No sign of him in the living room. I call again. I can hear him breathing (he's got a little cold) but no sign of him. There's not many places to be in our living room so I start to get a little frantic.

More calling...more breathing. I pinpoint the breathing to the entertainment center, but the cabinets are full and the doors are closed - no way he could be in there.

Surely he's not....

Sure enough, he had managed to squeeze himself into the 6 inch gap between the back of the entertainment center and the wall and was clinging to the cords he had found.
I had a moment of thinking, "he might electrocute himself", but I wanted a picture so bad, so I risked his life and grabbed the camera :).

My 2nd Christmas!

Mommy and Daddy are of the opinion that less is more, so they got me a big set of Lego Duplo blocks (they had to put away all the small pieces cause I still love to try everything out in my mouth) and a little piano for Christmas. I already love pulling the Lego's apart, I'm not so good at putting them together though.

Christmas at Mimi's house: I got a new coat, some pajamas, and a big set of colored blocks of all sizes. I'm REALLY excited about that!

Most of Christmas was fun until Daddy opened one of his presents, a possessed Remote Control A-Team van. Above I am moderately interested in it at this point...

but I quickly became terrified and wanted to be held if it was anywhere near me.

Aunt Jill got married on Saturday so Aunt Lauren had me all to herself. I love my Aunt Lauren!

The man himself - Santa Claus!

I got to meet Santa Claus! For a moment I thought he was interesting...

and then I was ready to wash my hands of him.

Diaper bags need end-of-year inventory taken too

Cole was happy to help with the project.

Let it Snow!

It actually snowed in Mississippi! And I got to be alive when it happened! (Note in this picture the footprints across the yard. They meander all over the yard even down by the bridge, and we don't know who made them. Who goes walking around in circles in other people's yards?!)

As you can imagine, I was pretty excited to see this new phenomenon so they bundled me up and...

took me outside for the experience. I wasn't too keen on how cold the snow was, but I DID think it was pretty to look at.

I was much happier to be in Daddy's arms than down in the snow.

Although, this was the first time I got to wear mittens and I thought it was hilarious to crawl around with mittens on my hands.

Just doing my duty around the house

Usually I'm content to play with the laundry basket, but today I just feel like I need to be a little more "invested" in the process of helping with laundry.

It's so cozy warm in here....

Penny for your thoughts?

Wouldn't you love to know what's going on in our little minds :). Freeman and I love to play together, even though we usually spend our time "trading" toys - Momma seems to think it has something to do with not wanting to share, but we prefer to think of it as sharing the same toy over and over again.

Searching in the way back of the cabinets....

You never know what that Momma is hiding in the back of the cabinet. The only way to find out is to systematically empty out enough space to get my whole body INTO the cabinet so I can see what's on the very back of the shelf. It turned out to be a little disappointing, but it took up a lot of time :)

New Orleans and the Aquarium

1/14th of my life ago (which is last month for the rest of you but it's been so long since Momma has posted that I'm starting to think of it in those terms) we went to New Orleans for a few days.

Mommy and Daddy didn't install the car seat in Daddy's truck very well so I was sitting vertical and couldn't keep my head up while I was sleeping, so Mommy tried to prop it as seen above. It didn't work very well - it was a long ride.

We got to go to the Aquarium that afternoon which was lots of fun. I even got to slide by myself for the first time.

Look at all those cool fish and sharks

And even a hotel room is fun when you have a fun Daddy playing peek-a-boo with you through the door to the living area.
